Infomobility

Based on the new concept of MaaS – Mobility as a Service, Pluservice offers a solution that allows for the pooling of needs and technology investments, creating a new integrated, comprehensive, and dynamic mobility platform.
Through a single platform, it will be possible to:

  • Search for a multimodal travel solution
  • Make a single financial transaction to purchase an entire multimodal travel solution
  • Perform check-in and check-out controls
  • Provide real-time information and assist the user throughout the journey.

The system aims to deliver a high-quality travel experience through a simple, intuitive, useful, and effective tool. At the core of the MaaS platform, Pluservice has developed an innovative travel planning system capable of meeting the needs of various transport companies.
The proposed system is multimodal and multicarrier, able to calculate the best point-to-point route using all available transportation modes: train, bus, ferry, airplane, pedestrian, car-sharing, bike-sharing, taxi, private vehicle.

Route Calculation
The calculation module processes and generates the response to a user query aimed at finding the best point-to-point route. During the search phase, the user selects the origin and destination of the trip, the date and time of travel, and the preferred mode of transportation. The departure and arrival points can be addresses, stops, points of interest, or events. At the end of the processing, the Travel Planner returns an ordered list of travel solutions tailored to the user’s preferences. Each solution includes all the necessary information to choose the travel option that best suits their needs.
Real-Time Delays and Early Arrivals
The platform can acquire real-time data from individual vehicles, processing the minutes of delay and early arrivals for each line and trip. The data can also be cross-referenced with urban and suburban traffic information to better refine the time to reach stops.
Smart Bus Stops
Smart bus stops are electronic devices with high-visibility displays, located at strategic mobility points such as stations, bus terminals, and bus stops, to communicate predictive information to users regarding the arrival of public transport.
The extensive information capacity of the smart stops allows for the display of information on line numbers, destinations, and bus waiting times.
This last piece of information fully highlights the function of electronic bus stops, particularly useful in case of accidents or other unpredictable events, thanks to their ability to be updated in real-time. In addition to providing users with information on delays and early arrivals, electronic bus stops can also communicate other public utility information and advertisements.
The electronic bus stop system communicates via GSM/GPRS wireless technology with each public vehicle equipped with a GPS satellite tracking device.
Thanks to this device, it is possible to know the exact position of the vehicle at any time and transmit it to the smart stop, which, after precise calculation based on the vehicle’s predetermined route, displays the waiting times on the LED screen.
The integrated system, composed of the smart stop and the bus, is managed at a higher level by a control operations center, allowing for real-time configuration of the devices and intervention when needed.
Apps and Digital Signage
The platform is able to assist the traveler throughout the journey by providing the following real-time information:

  • Number of stops before the user needs to alight
  • Alert when it is time to get off the vehicle
  • Any issues that have occurred on the line

Additionally, if the chosen travel solution undergoes changes, the system can recalculate the route, providing the user with alternatives to the initially chosen path.

Onboard System
Onboard, thanks to predefined protocols, information is sent to the onboard peripherals such as internal and external displays and voice systems.
The information displayed includes the current stop and the next stop.
These features are useful not only for the general public but also for users with visual and hearing impairments.
